The Cleveland Indians will travel north of the border into Canada to start the second half against the Toronto Blue Jays, Justin Masterson will get the start. Masterson has had a solid couple of games in his last few starts. The Indians are three games back of the White Sox and the team is looking for Masterson to pitch well in the second half. Masterson who is 5-8 on the season hasn't been the same Masterson we saw last season. Justin has pitched well in his last five starts.
Masterson is going to have to control the strike zone Friday night to give the Indians a chance to put some runs on the board and get a win. Toronto is playing .500 ball and is in last place in the A.L. East. The Indians can't let the standings fool them, the Blue Jays are a team that can score some runs if their offense gets hot. Mastserson has had trouble in the early innings of the games he has started this season and that is where the damage gets done to him. If he can get off to a good start in the second half it will help his season and the Cleveland Indians. Lets hope that is the case.
