Indians second baseman, Jason Kipnis made an appearance in the All-Star game and he took advantage of his opportunity to shine in the national spot-light. Kipnis drove in the last run the American League scored by hitting a double in the 8th inning.

Because the American League won the game, they will have the home field advantage in the world series. Lets hope Kipnis and the Cleveland Indians can find their way into baseball’s biggest series. The Indians are still in contention and Kipnis has helped the team stay in the competition with his outstanding performance in June.

The Indians sent 2 guys to the All-Star game, Kipnis got his opportunity and Masterson didn’t. Justin Masterson has a 10-7 record on the season in the first half and he was deserving of the All-Star appearance. It’s too bad he didn’t get a chance to pitch.

Kipnis will remember his All-Star performance for a long time. His double allowed him to be in position to steel second base on a past ball. He wasn’t able to score but he looked great standing out on 3rd base.

His double reached the wall in left field and it did drive in a RBI. It was a good showing for Kipnis and the Cleveland Indians on the national stage. lets hope this is a sign of things to come for the Indians.
