The Cleveland Indian have fired Manny Acta and promoted long time fan favorite Sandy Alomar Jr. as the interim manager for the renaming 6 games the Indians have left to play. The Indians who were in contention until the all-star break. The Indians have lost 91 games this season and are tied for last place in the A.L. Central. Manny Acta just returned to Cleveland after winning 2 out of 3 in Chicago and knocking the White Sox out of first place.
The Indians Chris Antonetti fired Acta and then talked about it at a press conference. Some think Chris Antonetti should also be fired by the Indians. Antonetti said the reason he fired Acta because they didn’t want to have Acta sitting through the Indians end of year meetings when they knew Acta wasn’t going to be here in 2013. The Indians fired Acta and Alomar will take control for the final 6 games of the season…..
