Indians pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez worked hard last night for the 5 innings he pitched. The Tribe was looking to get another win in Texas to end their 9 game road trip from hell with a 2-7 record. It looked like the Indians weren’t going to win any games on this 9 game road trip that started in New York.

The Indians fans watched as Jimenez worked his trail off in Texas last night. He did what he had to do to give the Indians 5 innings of work. He had an up and down night. He struck out 4, he walked 4 and he gave up one home run.

The Indians offense was able to get going in the 2nd inning when Mike Aviles hit a home run driving in 2 runs. The Tribe was on top 2-0 and they would never trail in the game. The Indians scored again in the 3rd when Michael Brantley hit a single to right to drive in a run.

In the 5th, Jason Kipnis showed he still had a pulse with a home run blast to right field making it 4-1 Indians and the Tribes last run came in the 5th when Carlos Santana doubled to deep right to drive in Brantley.

It is good to see the Indians win again. Some were worried the Indians were going to drop all 9 games in this road trip. The Indians have the day off today and they will return to Cleveland to start a 3 game series against the Nationals.
