The Cleveland Indians have now lost the last 3 games they played. That makes it 2 in a row against the Yankees. Cleveland had some opportunities in-game 2 against New York, they could capitalize and left guys stranded on base.

Scott Kazmir got the start for the Indians and he pitched 6 innings giving up 7 hits and 4 runs. The Yankees started David Phelps who only gave up one hit and wouldn’t allow a run for the 6 innings he worked.

Cleveland scored its 3 runs from Yankees reliever, Joba Chamberlain who gave up all three runs to the Tribe. The Indians need to get their bats going, they have 7 more games set on this road trip and they are not going to be easy.

The Indians take on the Yankees again today before heading out of New York to take on the Tigers and then it is the Texas Rangers. Francona needs to get his team refocused on winning ball game. Cleveland is now 2 full games behind Detroit in the A.L. Central.

Some fans think Francona lost the game last night when the Tribe had 2 guys on base and there were no outs. Then Nick Swisher hit a line drive that was caught and that created a double play. Some think Francona should have used a pinch hitter in that situation.

It is going to happen throughout the season. People are going to second guess the Indians manager and he is going to make a few mistakes. The Tribe needs to refocus and then they will start to win baseball games again.
