Indians closer Chris Perez is excited about the moves the Indians front office has made this off-season, including the hiring of Terry Francona as the Indians new manager. Perez thinks the Indians made some great moves and spent the right kind of money to get the team into contention for the 2013 season. Not only is Perez happy to work with Francona, the Tribes new skipper is thrilled to have Perez as his closer, in a statement Francona made, he praised having Perez as the Indians closer, he went on to say when you have a guy like Perez as your stopper it is easy to build the rest of your bull-pen.
Perez was unhappy in 2012, he didn’t think the front office made the moves to help the team win. He didn’t think the fans were supporting the team and he let people know about it too. There was a time people thought Perez was shooting his mouth off to get a trade away from the Indians. Now that the team has signed some great players it appears that Perez is thrilled to be with the Cleveland Indians. It is going to be an exciting season this year. The Tribe has some very talented players and they have a great manager who has a ton of experience in winning baseball game.
Hopefully the fans will get to Progressive field and show some support for Chris Perez and the Cleveland Indians this season. It should be a great year. Lets hope the Indians remember there is baseball left after the All-Star break.
