The Cleveland Indians did what they should have done all season long last night, they got off to a quick start and put some runs on the board in the 1st inning. The Tribe jumped out to a 4-0 lead over the Baltimore Orioles in game three of the series.

The Indians started off with an infield hit from the guy who leads MLB in infield hits. Bourn beat out a ground ball to first base, he ran down the baseline very well and it helped that the Orioles first basemen made a bad throw to the pitcher.

Then it was a walk to Swisher and a great bunt by Jason Kipnis that loaded the bases up for a returning Ryan Raburn who hit a double off the wall in deep right field to drive in 2 more runs. Yan Gomes drove in the first run with a solid line drive to right. It was the Indians 3 and the Orioles 0.

Then Mike Aviles drove in another run to make it 4-0 in the 1st and Raburn was thrown out trying to make it home from second base. The Indians had Zack McAllister on the mound and he pitched OK for the first 3 innings.

Then he started to struggle in the 4th. He gave up 5 hits and 4 runs and he was pulled in the 5th. The game was tied at 4 and the Indians bull-pen took over and did a great job shutting down the Orioles to hold them to only the 4 runs McAllister gave up.

The Tribe scored 2 more runs in the 5th one came off another Yan Gomes hit and the other came off of a wild pitch. The Indians are still in the hunt for a wild card spot. It could happen if they can continue to win.
