Boomer Esiason the last Cincinnati Bengals quarterback to take the Bengals to the post season is hoping this Bengals young team doesn't go into today's game to hyped up because of the youth on the Bengals team. When Andy Dalton stepped into the role of starting quarterback for the Bengals this year not many gave the team much chance of doing anything. The Bengals pulled off a win in their opener against the Cleveland Browns catching the Browns defense out of position in a game Cleveland seemed to control from the start.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has done a great job getting his team in position to contend this year. On the onset of the season many picked the Cincinnati Bengals to be the worst team in football, boy were they wrong. Today if the Bengals can get a win over the Baltimore Ravens the Bengals will extend their season going to the play offs. Lewis has had plenty of success against Baltimore in the past.

There are a couple of things working in the Bengals favor, first the Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco struggles on the road. The Ravens dropped a game many thought they would win in San Diego a couple of weeks ago and the Cleveland Browns may have beaten them last week if Cleveland knew how to manage the clock.

Many are picking the Bengals to beat the Ravens today including the once great Boomer Esiason.  If Lewis can keep his young Bengals team focused we just may see the team many though would be terrible advance into the play-off picture.
