The Cleveland Browns have fired Sashi Brown. For the first time this season the Browns have made a move in the right direction. With the team at 0-12, preliminary reports are head coach Hue Jackson will be back next season.

Brown will not be. The man who was executive VP and headed Cleveland’s personnel department the past two years, obviously knows nothing about running an NFL franchise. This was made clear by some of the moves he made in the NFL draft and in free agency.

Brown had no business running the team, and it's been a question mark since Jimmy Haslam III placed him at the top, after the release of Ray Farmer.

Money ball isn't working and all one has to do is look at Cleveland's record since Sashi has taken over the team. Each week we look around the NFL and see former Cleveland Browns players performing well with other teams.

Brown knew nothing about evaluating NFL talent, and his moves supports this statement. It's a shame that Haslam waited this long, before firing Brown. This guy has set the Browns back years. It's going to take a several drafts to rebuild the team from the damage Sashi has done.

No announcement has been made as to who Haslam will put at the top to run the team as of yet. But firing Brown is a step in the right direction.
