The Cleveland Indians haven't made any moves with the trade deadline coming just days from now. You shouldn't look for the team to make any moves, GM Chris Antonetti likes the guys he already has. He said the Indians wouldn't be making any moves just to make a move and after this weekend with sweeping the Texas Rangers a lot of people are liking this team too.
Coming into the season the Indians were a bit concerned about their starting pitching staff. As the season goes on the starters are getting better with each game. Yesterday the Indians saw Jimenez who has struggled since coming to Cleveland turn in a solid performance.
The Indians could use some help in their bull-pen but even those guys are looking better. The problem is consistency. The Indians could use a little more consistency out of the bull-pen. If the starting rotation can continue to give the Indians the innings they have given them lately, the pen would become more consistent because they will be well rested.
Antonetti could be right. Why change what is working. The Indians are playing some great baseball and the guys believe in themselves. Maybe a change would be bad. The Indians are still in it and they just need to keep doing what they are doing and they could make post season play.
August will tell the story.
