First year head coach Urban Meyer has removed Storm Klein from the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, after Klein plead not guilty to charges of domestic Violence in a Ohio Court Saturday morning. It didn’t take long for the first year Buckeyes coach to take action, Klein was removed from the team Saturday night. Meyer said he has made it perfectly clear you aren’t going to stay on the Ohio State Buckeyes football team with these kind of charges pending.
Meyer said if the charges are changed he will re-evaluate the situation. Meyer said these charges violate the core values of the Ohio State Football Program. Klein was represented by a public defender at his arraignment, after spending Friday night in jail. Klein started 10 games last year and was expected to compete for the starting job at middle linebacker this season. His participation in spring drills was limited by minor injuries.
It’s a shame Klein let this interfere with his ability to last year in a Buckeyes uniform.
