The Cleveland Indians lost 2 out of the 3 games they played against the Minnesota Twins. The Tribe sent their ace, Justin Masterson to the mound in game three and he was rocked for 7 hits and 6 runs in the 3-2/3′s he pitched.

Masterson and the Indians were unable to get a long term deal done before the start of the 2014 season. The Indians refused to come to terms with a deal that would have added years to Masterson’s contract.

After seeing his performance in yesterday’s game, you have to wonder if this is the reason why Masterson and the Tribe couldn’t come to terms. Masterson is a pitcher who either gets it done, or gets hammered.

In yesterday’s game, Masterson didn’t get the job done and the Indians fell to the Twins 10-7.

The Indians fall to 3-3 on the season and are already behind the Tigers who have won 4 out of the 5 they played this season. This isn’t the way the Cleveland Indians wanted to start off their home season.

They won the opener against the Twins, but lost the series by dropping 2 out of the 3 games they played. The Indians offense tried to keep the Tribe in the game, but when your starting pitcher gives up 6 runs early in the game, it is kind of tough to come back.

The Indians will now start a 3 game series against the Padres.
