The Cleveland Indians started their 2017 campaign, with their ace Corey Kluber on the mound. Kluber had a rough start to his season, giving up 3-home runs in the game. He worked his way through it and managed to pitch for 6-innings.
After the third inning, the Cleveland Indians were down, to the Texas Rangers 5-1. It didn't stop the team from fighting back, and the Tribe was able to put two more runs on the board in the 4th, when Ramírez hit a home-run that scored Encarnación.
In the 7th inning the Indians would find another run, resulting from a wild pitch that would allow Díaz to score. Just like that the Indians were back in this ball-game, and we all know there is now quit in this team.
In the 8th inning Encarnació hit a home-run to left field and it was now a tied ball-game. Cleveland scored 3 more runs in the 9th to win the game. The first run came from a Almonte single to center-field that allowed Naquin to score.
Then the Indians had a 6-5 lead over the Rangers. Santana hit a double to right that scored, Almonte. The Tribe wasn't done yet folks. Dr. Smooth, Michael Brantley came to the plate, and he hit a single to right-field that scored Santana.
How good it is to see Brantley back on the field for this Cleveland Indians team. He will be a big help to this team this season, if he stays healthy.
After the Indians rallied to take the lead, it was Miller time folks. He came in and pitch an inning, and then they turned it over to Allen to close it out in Arlington, Texas. The Tribe will face the Rangers again tonight, game starts at 8:05pm.
