After the Cleveland Gladiators opened the season with three consecutive wins, they lost two in a row. There wasn't to be a loss last night however, it was 3rd string backup quarterback Dan Whalen who was able to rally his Gladiators to victory over Tulsa 34-30.

Whalen hasn't taken any snaps since training camp and was not likely to get any reps. However when second string quarterback Kurt Rocco suffered a lacerated finger on his non-throwing left hand late in the third quarter Friday and needed stitches to close the gash, Whalen got the call. The victory ends a two game loosing streak and gets the Gladiators to 4-2 on the season. The Gladiators next game is at home Friday May 6th against the Milwaukee Mustangs. Get down to the Q and enjoy another Gladiators victory.
