The Cleveland Cavaliers were still hopeful heading into the game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Then their star player was forced to leave the game.
Kyrie Irving went out in the second quarter with a left bicpes injury. The Cleveland Cavaliers didn’t need to see this. Irving is the guy Cleveland was counting on to help them make up the 4 games they are behind in their play-off run.
Kyrie wasn’t much of a factor in the game, he missed all but one of his shots, but did have a few rebounds and a couple of assists. The Cavaliers were wiped out by LA.
The team that needs wins fell to the Clippers 102-80. Losing by 22 points shows the Cleveland Cavaliers still need to find a way to bring in Mike Brown’s defense.
Cleveland had high hopes coming into the season and now with Irving out with this injury the season for the Cavaliers could be over. Injuries have been a big part of the Cavaliers season.
Too many injuries to too many of Cleveland’s best players hasn’t helped their cause. Now it could be the end of Kyrie Irving’s season, and that’s the last thing the Cleveland fans needed to see.
A bicpes injury could take weeks to heal, this is one of those nagging injuries that just lingers around for weeks. We hope Kyrie is able to return soon, but the reality of that could be a shock to the fans still thinking NBA play-offs.
