The Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Kyrie Irving to be named rookie of the year in the NBA. I am not surprised by the announcement at all. Irving had a great rookie season and I think people would be more surprised had he not been named as rookie of the year in the NBA. Irving could have even done better last season had he not missed games due to a shoulder injury.
Irving played in 51 games and had a 18.5 points per game average last season. The Cavs rookie of the year played great in the 51 games he played in and he even made head coach Byron Scott a believer. The Cavaliers need to get Irving some help in the up-coming NBA draft and then the Cavaliers may be able to contend. Regardless of the Cavs record, congratulations to Kyrie Irving for the Rookie of the year award.
