The Cleveland Browns will take on the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday in Cleveland, Ohio. Both teams come into the match-up at 2-3. The Browns may have the upper hand in that Colt McCoy is ready to play while the Seahawks starting Q.B. Tarvaris Jackson is questionable with a pectoral muscle pull. The two teams have struggled this year. McCoy in his second year for the Browns has had issues getting his team into the end zone. McCoy comes into this game with a quarterback rating of 78.1.
For the Seahawks if Jackson were to start his rating is not that much better than McCoy’s Jackson has a 81.0 rating. The Seahawks will probably start Q.B. Charlie Whitehurst. Whithurst only played in one game for the Seahawks this year and his rating is at 100.1.
The Browns receivers could catch a break, the Seahawks have their star corner Marcus Trufant on the I.R. Trufant won’t play another down again this season for Seattle because of a disk problem. Trufants absence is no free pass for the Browns. It has been reported Trufant is helping to train his replacement Walter Thurmond the second year corner who well be taking Trufant’s place.
This is about as close of a match as the Browns have had all year. The Browns defense played a heck of a game last week but the special teams got burned twice by the Raiders. Cleveland surely has got to be on the look out for that this week. Josh Cribbs may have a larger role on Cleveland’s special teams if things in Browns camp goes Cribbs way. You never know this one could come down to special teams hitting on a big play to win this game.
