The Cleveland Browns had some highs and lows today, Marcus Benard crashes his motorcycle on the interstate and Greg Little gets named as a starter. When the Cleveland Browns moved to the 4-3 defense this year Marcus Benard was moved to the D.E. position. Benard was a linebacker in the 3-4 defense and he registered 7.5 sacks last season. Benard’s injury were listed at serous but not life threatening. Original reports had Benard traveling at a high rate of speed traveling down interstate 71 after leaving the Browns training facility today.
Witnesses that saw Benard’s motorcycle laying there after it had impacted a concrete wall were amazed anyone could live through the accident. Benard will be transferred to the Cleveland Clinic for further evaluation. It is not totally clear the full extent of Benard’s injuries, a spokesperson from the Browns did however confirm Benard suffered a broken arm.
On a more positive note, the Browns have named Greg Little as a starter. Little was instrumental helping the Browns come from behind with minutes left in the Miami game to lift the Cleveland Browns to a victory. Through the first four games for the Browns little has registered 14 receptions and 131 yards. Little has continued to impress the Browns coaching staff and finally has been named as the starter. Lets hope it isn’t a Little to late…
