Rob Chudzinski names Brian Hoyer as the Browns starting quarterback going into the game against the Bengals this Sunday. Chud said Weeden hasn’t even thrown the ball yet and expects him to be able to try to throw near the end of this week.
Coach Chud also said the Bengals are going to be a huge challenge to the Browns defense. he said the Bengals have great players in their offensive skilled positions and they will be a force to deal with defensively. It sounded like he felt Hoyer and the offense could put points on the board, but it is going to be up to the Browns defense to shut the Bengals offense down if Cleveland is going to have another win.
This is the team that is going to come in and challenge the Browns defensive secondary.
Brian Hoyer has a lot to prove in his second start. Hoyer knows, better than some what a game Stygian the Bengals mean in the city of Cleveland. If Hoyer can help to get the Browns back to back wins, you have to wonder what the future holds for Brandon Weeden.
When asked if he ever suffered an injury like the one he has now, Weeden said it happened to him in College and he taped it up and was able to get back into the game. That doesn’t seem to be the case in Cleveland and the fans are excited to see how Hoyer will do in the Bengals game.
If Hoyer wins, the Browns have to ride this kid out who seems to have a greater understanding of how to play the game of football than Weeden has. It is going to be another fun game to watch for the fans who deserve to see another win.
