The Cleveland Cavaliers, gave the City of Cleveland something it hasn't seen since 1964. They brought home the NBA Championship, and the fans showed their appreciation by showing up in droves to pack downtown Cleveland.
Some say they never seen this many people in the downtown area. People who have worked downtown for decades were surprised at the huge turnout. LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavalier teammates, have helped to revitalize the area businesses.
Can you imagine the economic impact this many people had yesterday? Not only were area businesses busy yesterday, they are busier when the Cavaliers play their home games.
This impact is directly related to the return of LeBron. We know what his is worth to the Cavaliers, but what he is worth to the city of Cleveland, is immeasurable.
Cleveland is feeling the impact of the Championship, and we can only hope it gets contagious. The Indians are in first place, and the Browns aren't that far away from starting camp, for the upcoming season.
The Cavs brought the second championship to the city, and they were gracious enough to invite the city's first champion, Stipe Miocic to take part in the parade. Stipe won the UFC Heavyweight title, on May 14th of this year.
The Curse is now officially over folks. Cleveland is a Championship city, and the people in this blue-collar town are loving it. I can't wait to see how the Cavs do next season, which isn't that far off.
Congratulations to the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers. You did it and you revitalized the city of Cleveland too......
