As summer starts to heat up in Cleveland, so are the Cleveland Indians. The Tribe takes on the Detroit Tigers at Progressive field, this weekend. We all know what happened the last time the Indians played the Tigers.
The Indians swept them, and the Tigers season started a downward spiral from there. The Indians will be sending Corey Kluber to the mound in-game 1, and the Detroit Tigers will start, Rick Porcello.
The Indians are heating up, and they have to be excited with their extra inning win in yesterday’s game. The Indian battled Detroit into a few extra inning games the last time these 2 teams met.
Cleveland has kept an eye on Detroit, the team has noticed the Tigers, one time dominant pitching staff has struggled as of late. The Indians have to be hoping those struggles continue tonight in Cleveland.
The Indians play Detroit tough for the most part, they have a way of picking apart guys like Verlander. If the Tribes offense can get off to a good start tonight, I think the Indians can take game one. Detroit was barely able to escape KC with a win.
The key is going to be the Indians offense. Kluber will be focused and ready to go. He knows what’s at stake in this game, and I expect a good performance from him.
