By now you probably heard the bad news about Kyrie Irving having a fractured kneecap, in his left knee. It's a shame the Cleveland Cavaliers will have to  continue in the NBA Finals without their star shooter.

However, the Cleveland Cavaliers can win and have won without the services of Kyrie Irving. Remember the Eastern Conference Finals? Irving sat out for two games, resting his legs trying to calm down the tendinitis he was already suffering.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been resilient throughout the play-offs. They had to be after losing Kevin Love to a shoulder injury in the Boston series.

The Cavs found a way to win, and granted, losing a Kyrie Irving is a huge blow to the team, so was losing Love. Irving said this on Instagram;

I want to thank everyone for the well wishes. Saddened by the way I had to go out but it doesn't take away from being apart of a special playoff run with my brothers. Truly means a lot for all the support and love. I Gave it everything I had and have no regrets. I love this game no matter what and I'll be back soon. To my brothers: You already know what the deal is. And to Delly: "ICE it down del" *Big Perk voice "

He knows his bothers have a mission to complete, and he knows guys like Delly are going to have to step up their games in order to beat the Golden State Warriors.

Delly played nine minutes in game-1 of the finals. It wasn't his best game, and he didn't score any points. But if he is the named starter, in Irving's absence, you can expect the same Matthew Dellavedova you saw in the Eastern Conference finals.

You have to remember the Cavaliers entered into the NBA finals, following a 8 or 9 day rest. The team needed to blow the dust off, and now that they are back to playing competitive basketball, I expect to see the real Delly in game-2.

Even J.R. Smith looked rusty in game-1. The Cleveland Cavaliers know what they have to do, and they know they are going to have to do it without the services of Kyrie Irving.

While it will be a tough road to haul, I wouldn't count them out yet. The Cleveland Cavaliers can win without Kyrie Irving.
