Can The Cleveland Cavaliers get the deal done that would bring free agent Andrew Bynum to Cleveland? The Cavs put a 2 year deal worth an estimated 24 million dollars on the table to bring the former All-Star center to the Cavaliers team.
Bynum missed the entire 2012-13 season with knee injuries, the guy has to be healthy if he is going to help the Cavs win. Bringing Bynum in would be a good move if his knees allow him the play most of the season.
Teaming Bynum up with guys like Tristan Thompson and Kyrie Irving could give the Cavaliers the bug man they need to help the Cavs both offensively and defensively. The Cavs are in the running with the Dallas Mavericks who also have shown interest in Bynum.
It could come down to a bidding war to get the big man and the Cavs have to be careful not to over pay for this guy. He has to pass a physical to show the team he is healthy and then you pay out the chunk of change the team is taking about.
Bynum could choose the Mavs because the Cavs are a rebuilding team and he may want to play for a contender. On the other hand he could see the opportunity to come to Cleveland and contribute to the Cavs rebuilding process.
It is going to be interesting to see what Bynum does.
