Ohio State Buckeyes final fourThe Ohio State Buckeyes Mens Basketball team is making the trip to  New Orleans as part of the final four. Ohio State had a tough opponent in Syracuse last night. Both teams wanted this game. The Ohio State Buckeyes wanted it a little more. In the first half both teams fought hard to try and take control. The Buckeyes would head to the locker room at the half tied with Syracuse at 29.

It was clear Thad Matta had his work cut out for himself to keep his team focused on the end result, Advancing into the final four. The Buckeyes and their fans were a little disappointed with a couple of the calls the officials made earlier in the game. Especially when they called the second foul on Jared Sullinger. The Buckeyes were able to put those calls behind them and continue to play hard.

Sullinger played hard all night scoring 19 to lead the Buckeyes, Buford played great adding 13 points and having a solid night under the boards with nine rebounds. It may have been the play of Lenzelle Smith, Jr.  who stepped up big adding 18 points and four rebounds with one assist that solidified the Buckeyes trip to New Orleans in the Final four.

The Buckeyes played team ball last night and the team is going to have to continue the same type of play they had last night if they expect to win next weekend. Thad Matta is going to have to keep his team level headed as they head to the Big Easy for their final four appearance. Lets hope the Ohio State Buckeyes can continue to play winning Basketball….
