Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon talks to the media one last time before the NFL trade deadline. He said he really would like to stay in Cleveland and continue with the team that took a chance and drafted him into the NFL.

Gordon knows the NFL is a business, but he loves playing in Cleveland and he loves the Browns fans. Gordon’s off field antics have caused some concerns and he is down to his last strike with the NFL.

If he were to violate the NFL’s substance abuse policy one more time he could be out for a year, or even kicked out of the NFL for life. Gordon knows what’s at stake and he needs to keep himself clean.

But can he do it? He is one of he best wide receivers in the NFL. The Browns are thin at the receiver position and  if they trade Gordon they will really be short of a guy who can catch the football.

It comes down to today. The trade deadline comes around 5:00P.M. this afternoon and for Gordon and Browns fans alike, they are holding their breath hoping Joe Banner and Michael Lombardi don’t pull the trigger on a deal that would send Josh Gordon packing.

If they trade this guy, Cleveland would be hard pressed to win anymore games this season. Lest hope Gordon gets his wish and he remains a Cleveland Brown.

The Browns have shown that they can win with a QB that knowns how to play the position. If Gordon says out of trouble he could be one of the best WR in the league. With Hoyer coming back next year and the draft pick we have the Browns would dumb to trade Gordon.
