The Cleveland Browns number one draft pick Trent Richardson can’t wait until the 2013 season gets here. Richardson who played most of the season injured said he will be fully healed in about 5 more weeks, his ribs gave him the most problems in the 2012 season, he said his knee didn’t bother him at all. Trent Richardson ran for 950 yards and at times he looked like he was playing injured. He finished the 2012 season ranked 18th on the rushing list with 950 yards. He also had 367 receiving yards ranking him 122nd in the NFL.
There were times when Trent Richardson shined on the field and there were times when he lost his sparkle. We knew he had to be hurt worse than we were led to believe. He just didn’t show the explosive-ness he showed on the college level at times. Then there were times when the Browns completely abandoned the running game in the second half of the game. Leaving Richardson with some terrible stats. There were a lot of running backs in the NFL this season that were taken behind Richardson in the 2012 draft that produced a lot more yards than he did.
The 2013 season should prove to be big for Richardson, the Browns will have a new coach, Richardson should be 100% healthy and the Browns could feature a more balanced running game especially if they land Chip Kelly as the teams new head coach. Trent Richardson showed he could move the pile this season and it will be interesting to see just how good this guy can be in the NFL. First things first though, get healthy T-Rich, I have a felling you’ll be carrying the load in 2013…..
T-Rich said; “It’s going to be a good year,” Richardson said. “It’s going to be one of the biggest years y’all have seen for a running back. I know I’m talking big, but that’s just my goal, my expectation. You’ve got to realize, I’m a man that came from nothing and I’m trying to make something out of myself.”
