Browns should pass on Marc TrestmanThe Cleveland Browns are set to talk to Marc Trestman, the man who worked with Brandon Weeden before the NFL draft. The Cleveland Fans have seen how that went, Weeden finished the season as once of the worst rookie quarterbacks in the NFL. The Browns won only 5 games and Weeden had one of the worse completion percentages of any of the rookie quarterbacks taken in the 2012 draft. Weeden spent some time with Trestman before the draft to learn a little about the W.C.O.. Obviously we should judge Trestman prematurely just on the job he did with Weeden. They only spent a few days together, with the way it has been reported that Weeden pays attention, a couple of days may have not been enough.

The Browns would be will suited to pass on Trestman. They have requested permission from the Indianapolis Colts to talk to Bruce Arians. The Browns would be in great shape if Arians would accept the position of head coach for the Cleveland Browns.  Arians has a great deal of NFL experience and did a great job leading the Colts to the play-offs as the teams interim head coach.

Bruce Arians not only is a great leader of men, he has a great offense mind and continues to find ways to win games in the NFL. Bruce Arians time to become a full time head coach in the NFL has arrived and the Browns should do what ever it takes to land this football genius. He knows the AFC North very well and has spent years developing offensive game plans to defeat the teams in the North.

Arians spent time as the Browns offensive coordinator during a time when the Browns made their only play off appearance since returning to the NFL in 1999.  The Browns have got to pass on Marc Trestman and they should hire Bruce Arians…..Do what it takes Mr. Haslam to bring Bruce Arians to the Cleveland Browns…..

I see you’re still writing about Weeden LG. I will be glad to tell you how to spell other players names on the Browns so you can write about someone else.

I would be more concerned about the his lack of coaching experience in the NFL over the past 5 years than how he worked with Weeden prior to the draft.

I like how you say “They only spent a few days together, with the way it has been reported that Weeden pays attention, a couple of days may have not been enough.”

Kind of like how it was reported that Chip Kelly was gonna coach the Browns. Kind of like how it was reported Chip Kelly was in love with Colt McCoy. Kind of like how it was reported Kelly would have chosen the Eagles over the Browns because he wasn’t happy with any of the QBs for the Browns.

Another pathetic article LG. Your writings are as predictable as the Browns’ offense was under Shurmur.

    Have a great day.

      • HEY YA!!!!

That’s was funny RB,I feel the same way… JJ is your life that depressing that u feel the need to overly critize someone’s comment on an article, If you don’t like the comments the stop reading them…

RB is your life that depressing that you feel the need to overly criticize someone’s article. If you don’t like his articles why do you keep reading?

    I know why, because you’re a F*GG*T

I read his articles and comment to keep LG honest. He sometimes isn’t factually correct.

My life is fine ty. It’s not depressing at all. I have a wonderful wife, 5 wonderful children and a lovely grandchild. I don’t have a white picket fence but am happy with the house I do have, and the dogs seem to be happy with the adequate sized and fenced back yard.

But have a great day JJ.

And btw JJ, if I like what someone has to say I will comment on that as well. LG and I just don’t see eye on some things.

I’ll bet I am more factually correct than you would like to admit RB. You just don’t like the facts….

LG, I have come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter who the QB is, it doesn’t matter how the Browns do you will continue to be NEGATIVE NANCY. You NEVER have anything positive to say about the Browns and lord knows we all know how you feel about Weeden. But here is the thing, did we REALLY REALLY have any REAL viable options? I know your a Colt McCoy lover, and I have no problem with him as QB but they both probably wouldn’t make it on any other teams roster. I think there both OVER RATED and under achievers. So do us all a favor and quit whining about Weeden until we get a QB on the roster who can deliver, because guess what? That person isn’t in Cleveland yet.

Why do people even read this blog.Same blah blah blah blah blah every blog. The negativity is a bummer every freakin article.

Wow! All these people complaining about how negative you are, LG, in the MOST NEGATIVE posts I’ve seen in a long time. There’s nothing quite like disillusioned Weeden lovers.

This search for a coach is making me nervous. We hear all kinds of rumors from all kinds of sources. It’s a hard time to write about football in Cleveland.

There were some positive things about this guy from Canada. I read some of what he has written and he can explain things a whole lot better than Shurmur, and he’s had winning records wherever he’s worked.

The two things that make me nervous are that he looks a little like Shurmur and describes himself like Shurmur does, as a quarterbacks coach, and he helped prepare Clausen, Tebow, and Weeden for the draft or the combine.

He’s worked with some very successful QBs in the league. I don’t know why he even mentioned working with those 3 desperate cases pre-draft. But someone said he must be good because they were all drafted much higher than they should have been.

I don’t think we can make much out of who’s being interviewed. I think everyone is being interviewed.

I’m just going to hope and pray a little that the guys in charge are able to find someone who will be good for the Browns.

Lots of good POSITIVE COMMENTS about Arians. I think you are right about his being an excellent coach. Hopefully we’ll have a chance at getting him.

He would be my first pick

ABrown… You just kinda talked me into Trestman. Here is why – it has been reported, and you reiterated, that Trestman prepared Tebow, Clausen, and Weeden (and someone else) for the combine….
Those 3 guys were all drafted in the 1st round, correct? Then turned out to not do so well when NOT being coached up and prepared for action by Trestman…
      With Trestman… 1st round talent
WIth-out him… Run of the mill, or worse

I think that is a good example of how good of a qb coach he is… maybe that translates to an NFL HC, maybe not, but the guy has won multiple championships in the CFL, and last time I checked, you have to earn championships they dont just hand them out, no matter what league you are in…

trestman as coach of the browns what a joke that would be. maybe we could hire bernie as the linebackers coach. makes about as much sense. maybe we can get lucky and trestman will take weeden off our hands
