The Cleveland Browns new ownership have an interview set up with Bruce Arians. Don’t blow this one guys, take your lawyer with you into the room and get this deal done. Put your money on the table Jimmy Haslam and sign this guy as your teams new head coach. Arians is ready to be a NFL head coach. He did a fantastic job with Luck this season when he was the Colts interim head coach when Pagano fell with leukemia. Arians has what it takes to win in the NFL. He is ready to get the job done.
Bruce Arians spent time as the offensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2007 to 2011 after being promoted from wide receivers coach, a position that he had held with the team since the 2004 season. The Steelers had a record of 55-25 with Arians as the teams offensive coordinator. This guy does nothing but win in the NFL. Arians was the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator from 2001 – 2003. The Cleveland Browns went to the play offs only once since returning to the NFL in 1999 and it was Bruce Arians who was calling the Offensive plays in 2002 the only year the Browns made the play-offs since their return.
Arians has 12 years of NFL experience. There is no reason this guy isn’t good enough to coach the Cleveland Browns. He is a big name coach that can deliver big time results. The Cleveland Browns would be getting a guy that knows how to build a winning team. Get this one right Jimmy Haslam III.

mike zimmer is only the second defensive minded guy they talked to. I really don’t think he is ready for a head coaching position. We don’t need a repeat of Crennel and the Bengals defense only became as good as they are midway through this season.
Arians is who I believe they really want now. Hence the wait to announce a new head coach. They have been waiting for him to get better.
BTW – All you need now is Denny Dice to agree with you.

Browns obviously need help on the offensive side of the ball. I think Zimmer adds nothing to an already solid D unit. Arians knows how to get the ball down the field, and I don’t think there is one Browns fan that should be upset about that hire. Then we can get back to arguing about Weeden and McCoy and the new GM. It’s the anticipation and the fact that Browns are being so tight lipped about the search, kinda driving me crazy.
they have talked to a lot of coaches and still no clear canidate. is it the coaches or the owner?some of the coaches they talked with were fired by other teams for losing when you just got rid of one loser.set the bar high decide who would be the best fit and go get at whatever the cost.chip kelly was using the nfl to get more money from oregon,he never serious about leaving.
I don’ think they have truly talked to the guy they really want. They should be meeting with Bruce Arians soon…I think he is the best fit for this team.
