The Cleveland Browns play the New York Giants this Sunday as Cleveland looks to win their first game. Brad Childress sees receiver Josh Gordon being ready to play this Sunday. According to Childress, Gordon is more ready than ever to be a solid contributor for the Cleveland Browns. Childress said that Gordon had his best practice as a Cleveland Brown yesterday. When asked why he thought that Childress replied, “I didn’t see any hesitation, I didn’t see him thinking about anything. I saw him playing fast, catching the football, doing all the things that you expect to see from a professional receiver.”
This couldn't come at a better time for the Browns who are short-handed at the receiver position with the teams number one guy Mohamed Massaquoi out with a sore hamstring. That left Greg Little as the teams work horse and the Browns can't exactly throw every pass to Little. With Gordon coming up to speed it give the Browns offense another target that can make a difference in the Giants game. Now all the team needs is for Browns Q.B. Brandon Weeden to go through his progressions correctly to find the open guy and avoid throwing interceptions. If the Browns can use the receivers properly and the guys can catch the balls thrown their way, Cleveland just might make a game out of it.
The Browns have to avoid making mistakes offensively against this Giants defense if they are going to be taken seriously by New York...Lets hope we see the Josh Gordon that tremendous catches in College this Sunday working for the Browns...
