The Cleveland Browns had a fight erupt, at practice on Wednesday. It was  Guard Garrett Gilkey throwing punches at the Browns defensive tackle Phil Taylor, which is never a good idea. The skirmish started when Gilkey decided it was a good idea to punch Taylor with a couple of upper cuts.

Yes, it was 2 heavyweights going at it during a practice session. Gilkey may have woke up a sleeping giant. Taylor doesn’t take this short of thing lightly, just look back to last season when he wanted to kill Ray Rice during the Ravens game.

Gilkey may have lost his mind for a moment or two. Taylor was fit to be tied. He couldn’t be held back, and he was so hot, he threw receiver Miles Austin, out-of-the-way to make another run at Gilkey. That was after the 6 foot 3 inch, 335 pound nose guard, leap over a couple of players to go after Gilkey the first time.

If anyone has ever questioned Taylor’s athleticism, you can put that to rest now. This guy has the agility, you wouldn’t expect from a man his size.

The Browns don’t like seeing this sort of thing happening between teammates, but it does go to show the team is very competitive this season. These guys know what is at stake, and we can only hope they carry it into the regular season.

Keep it going into the regular season! Of course I mean playing mad at the opponent!
