T
he Cleveland Browns defense took a hit today, the team cut Frostee Rucker the guy that former GM Tom Heckert brought in from the Cincinnati Bengals. If Rucker was on the Browns roster tomorrow morning it would have coast the team a 2 million dollar rooster bonus. Rucker had a decent season for the Browns. He 29 tackles, 19 assists and 4 sacks for the Browns in the 2012 season.
Rucker was likely cut because the team is going to a 3-4 defense. He isn’t the type of guy that is well suited to play on the end of the line. I thought Rucker did a great job and was a big help to the Browns defense last season, especially with the injuries the D-line faced.
