Pat Shurmur needs to figure out the National Football League is about wins and losses, not how your team goes out there each week and Battles only to come up short with a loss. The Browns had a much improved offensive unit today, the Cleveland defense fell short and the Browns amassed a  ton of penalties today giving the Bengals free yards that really didn’t help the Browns efforts. The Cleveland Browns with Pat Shumrur as their head coach have lost to the Bengals every time they have faced them.

Shurmur needs to find a way to get their offense on the board earlier in the football games. Playing from behind and matching the other teams scores isn’t conducive of producing many wins which Shurmur is quickly finding out. The Browns now need to figure out how to have a good defense and a good offense show up on the same day. The Browns defense gave up 398 yards against the Bengals today. They still can’t stop the run and Shumur and his coaching staff didn’t fully address that problem in the off-season. Shumur’s defense that his assistant Dick Jauron runs, didn’t do a very good job at stopping Andy Dalton when they needed to today.

The Browns secondary missing a key member like Joe Haden failed to halt the Cincinnati passing attack. Shumur Browns showed they can contend in games now they need to show they can win these tough games. If the Cleveland Browns can’t win some football games and do it soon, Shurmur’s time in Cleveland Could come to an end sooner than he thinks. The Browns have to win some of the games in the AFC North Division. Pat Shurmur should know how important that is.
