The Cleveland Browns are still in search of players to solidify their defense. Today the Browns claimed LB Tank Carder who was formally with the Buffalo Bills and DT Ishnaa’ily Kitchen from Baltimore, who played his college ball at Kent State University. Kitchen is a big boy, at 6’3″ and 334 lbs he could help the Browns plug a few holes in their defensive line and help Cleveland do a better job stopping the run. Kitchen is is coming off an elbow injury and was placed on waivers by the Ravens, he was a nose tackle at Kent and the Browns must have seen something they like about this guy.
Tank Carder is a former TCU stand-out who was drafted by the Buffalo Bills. He also earned defensive MVP honors in the 2011 Rose Bowl after helping secure TCU’s 21-19 win over Wisconsin by breaking up a potential game-tying two-point conversion with 2 minutes left. The guy just might be what the doctor ordered for the Cleveland Browns line-backing corp who are without Chris Gocong and still don’t know the true tail of Scott Fujita’s suspension. The Browns are light at the line-backer position and bring in a guy like Carder makes sense at this point. Lets hope these guys can really help the Cleveland Browns up front this season.
