Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden was asked by a reporter about the Oklahoma State Scandal. He responded by saying, He was glad he was asked. Weeden said he never saw any wrong doing and he wasted little time stating that he was never paid any money to play football while he attended school there, he is probably surprised he is being paid money to play football for the Browns. but that is a story for another time.
The Weeden interview that was published by Mary Kay Cabot, Northeast Ohio Media Group goes on to say Weeden never saw any wrong doing during the time he was at the college. He also said he thinks this story is comical and the guy behind it is only out to get Oklahoma State.
When Weeden was first asked about the scandal, he responded by saying he was glad to be asked, then he had this to say;
“I’ve read the first story that came out and literally I laughed throughout the entire thing,” he said. “It’s comical for a lot of reasons and I won’t go through the whole deal, but obviously it’s dealing more with before I got there. First of all, clean slate, I didn’t take any money or do anything like that. That wasn’t the issue.”
He also said the head coach always prided himself on running a clean program and he didn’t think things like these would take place at OSU. It is comical to hear Weeden say that. How many time do people say things like this don’t take place in this program, and soon after we find out they do.
I am not saying Weeden is being left than truthful, but I am saying if they took place before his arrival, he may not have had any knowledge of what took place. You can read the Mary Kay Cabot article by clicking The video is also there if you follow the link….
