Anderson VarejaoIt was another wasted effort by the Cleveland Cavaliers Anderson Varejao who continues to play inspired basketball for his Cleveland Cavaliers team. The Cavaliers out played the Memphis Grizzlies for 3 periods in the game before the wheels completely fell off the Cleveland Cavaliers team. The Cavs only scored 9 points in the 4th quarter of the game. You see the Grizzlies remembered how to play defense. The Cavs outscored the Grizzlies 27-24 in the first, 20-18 in the second and 22-20 in the third and when it matter the most the Cleveland Cavaliers looked like they gave up in the fourth getting beat when the Memphis Grizzlies outscored the Cleveland Cavaliers 22-9 in the fourth.

Coach Byron Scott has to be pissed to see his Cavaliers completely fall off in the fourth quarter of the game. There is no reason the Cavaliers could do better in the fourth period of this game. It is almost like the Cleveland Cavaliers completely ran out of fuel in the game. The Cavaliers have a young team and they should be able to play the entire game. When you see the team fall off like this in the fourth it makes you scratch your head a little.

Beside Varejao the only other Cleveland Cavalier that performed half way decent was Dion Waiters who had 15 points in the game. The Cavaliers bench only combined for 21 points in 71 minutes they contributed in the game. The bench needs to do a better job than what they are doing. Daniel Gibson led the way off the bench with 11 in the game.

I agree with you LG that if the cavs bench decides to never show up besides Gibson then we are looking at a lottery pick again.
