With the 52nd pick in the 2017 NFL draft the Cleveland Browns select quarterback DeShone Kizer, who played college football for Notre Dame, and is a native of Toledo, Ohio.

Kizer is 6 foot 4-1/2 inches tall, and he weighs in at 234 lbs. He certainly is of decent size, and not only can he throw the football, he is athletic enough to run as well. The Browns were shocked this guy was still UN-drafted when the 52nd pick came up.

Kizer was one of the top college QB's last season. He completed 212 of the 361 passes he attempted, for a 58.7 completion percentage. He threw 26 touch-down passes with only 9 interceptions. When was the last time the Browns had anyone at QB with more touch-down passes than INT's (just Kidding).

This guy just might be the guy the Cleveland Browns have been searching for over the past 18-years. He is said to have pocket presence, and he is supposed to be the type of quarterback that will stay in the pocket and only run if he has too.

It will be interesting to see how all this unfolds this season, once training camp starts. Head coach Hue  Jackson said, the Browns will give Kizer a chance at competing to be the starting quarterback this season for the Browns.

Jackson also said we will see how good Kizer can be over time. Hue said they think they are pretty good quarterback coaches, so obviously he thinks he can turn this kid into the contender the Browns really need.

He we go again folks, another QB coming to the Cleveland Browns, all we can do is watch and see what happens, but for the sake of the fans, I'm hoping this kid can be the winner the team so desperately needs......
